SSC CHSL 2019 Notification
SSC CHSL 2019 will be tentatively released on 5th March 2019.The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) of India conducts Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination (CHSL) exam every year to select eligible candidates for various posts such as the post of:
- DEO
- Postal Assistant
- LDC and Sorting Assistant.

SSC CHSL Online Application 2019: Steps to Apply
Candidates are required to apply online to register for SSC CHSL 2019. Below are the steps that one needs to follow for successful online registration for the exam:
Step 1: Click on the official link which is provided on this page.
Step 2: Click on link of Apply Link given on the page. The registration link will open up in the new window.
Step 3: Click on New Registration in SSC CHSL 2019 application window and then click on the register button.
Step 4: Firstly, candidates need to provide basic details like name, parents’ name, date of birth, email id, mobile number etc.
Step 5: Click on submit button to submit your completed online registration form of SSC CSHL 2019. Verify your details before submitting the form. All the candidates will be issued Registration ID for SSC CHSL 2019 exam.
Candidates are supposed to login with the provided Registration ID, date of birth and password to complete registration for SSC CHSL 2019.
Step 6: In the next step, candidates must upload photograph and signature following the requisites mentioned by SSC.
Photograph - The photograph must be clicked in front of white colour or light coloured background and must be more than 4 kb in size and less than 12 kb. The photograph resolution must be 100*120 pixels in width and height.
Signature - The signature must be in black or blue ink on white sheet. The scanned copy of signature must be in jpg format and it should be more than 1 kb in size and less than 12 kb. The resolution should be 40*60 pixels in width and height.
Step 7: Login with registered ID and password to fill up the Part-II of the application form of SSC CHSL 2019.
Step 8: After filling up the application form, candidates need to preview the entire application form of SSC CHSL 2019 once to look for any glitches in the form. Verify the entire data entered by you.
Step 9: Click on Final Submit button after previewing the entire online SSC CHSL application form. It is recommended that Candidates download and get print copies of submitted application form of SSC CHSL 2019. Lastly, candidates can advance to submit the application fee for SSC CHSL 2019 either via online mode or offline mode of fee payment. A candidate must pay Rs. 100/- as SSC CHSL 2019 Online Application Fee.

There are three levels in SSC CHSL exam that have to be cleared by the candidates in order to get selected for various posts in the Government Offices. SSC CHSL Tier I is Objective Multiple Choice Question, Tier II is Descriptive Paper in English/Hindi and Tier III is Computer Proficiency Test.

SSC CHSL Tier-II Exam Pattern
SSC CHSL Tier-II is a descriptive test that is designed to test the written skills of the candidates in English/Hindi. The paper would demand writing of an Essay of 200-250 words and Letter/Application writing of approximately 150-200 words. The minimum qualifying marks in Tier-II would be 33 per cent.
- The exam is of 60 minutes’ duration and carries 100 marks.
- The questions are based on 10th level.
- The exam is qualifying in nature.
- The exam duration is 80 minutes for candidates who are visually handicapped or suffer from cerebral palsy.

SSC CHSL Preparation 2019
SSC CHSL 2019 Tier I Exam consists of 4 sections - General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension. The syllabus and type of questions asked in each section are different and therefore the a separate strategy needs to be adopted.
General Intelligence
- This section tests the factual knowledge rather than practical approach
- Aspirants must work on their building conceptual base by practicing through SSC CHSL mock papers
- Candidates must focus on sharpening their focus and improving reasoning skills
- Practicing via solving previous year papers is very important to score well in this section.
Quantitative Aptitude
- This section tests the numeric sense of candidates and their command on numbers and formulae
- Important topics to prepare in this section are computation of whole numbers, decimals, fractions, relationship, between the numbers, percentage, ratio and proportion, square roots, average, interest, profit and loss, discounts, partnership, mixtures and allegation etc.
- Candidates must revise all the formulae to solve problems faster
- Learning tricks and shortcuts can be helpful to score well here
General Awareness
- This section is the easiest sections and candidates can score maximum marks here.
- It is crucial to stay updated on the current affairs and recent events of national as well as international importance
- Making notes of the recent happenings is recommended
- Candidates must develop a habit of reading newspaper which will help them to stay updated on the current affairs
- Aspirants must focus on History, Geography, Art & Culture, Indian Polity & Constitution, Science and Technology, Economy & Finance, while preparing for General Awareness under SSC CHSL tier 1.
English Comprehension
Candidates will be tested on their writing ability, grammar rules and comprehension. To ace this section, one must know the rules of grammar and practice the elimination technique.
